Agreement
By accessing or using FilmStarter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. FilmStarter is operated by Retiretainment, LLC, a California limited liability company. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
The Service
FilmStarter is an AI-powered film production platform. The service enables users to create films using artificial intelligence tools for script generation, visual production, audio creation, voice synthesis, editing, watermarking, and distribution. All content generated through the platform is produced by AI models.
Token Economy
FilmStarter operates on a token-based system. Tokens are purchased in advance and consumed as production steps are completed. Tokens are non-refundable once purchased. Unused tokens do not expire. Token prices and consumption rates are subject to change with reasonable notice.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure
All films produced through FilmStarter contain AI-generated content. By using the service, you acknowledge that your productions will be marked as AI-generated through embedded watermarks and C2PA content credentials. You agree not to remove, alter, or circumvent these provenance markers. You represent that any content you submit as input does not infringe on third-party rights.
Rights and Ownership
You retain rights to your original briefs and inputs. Rights to AI-generated outputs are granted to you under license as permitted by the underlying AI model providers. You certify that you will not represent AI-generated content as human-created. FilmStarter maintains the right to use anonymized, aggregated production data for service improvement.
Content Policy
You agree to comply with our Content Policy. Productions that violate the content policy will be removed and may result in account termination without refund of tokens.
Limitation of Liability
FilmStarter and Retiretainment, LLC are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for tokens in the twelve months preceding the claim. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results — you are responsible for reviewing all outputs before distribution.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or our content policy. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, unused tokens are forfeited and your content will be removed within 30 days.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Contra Costa County, California.
